Join the Staff
The staff is made up of experienced mountain men re-enactors and dedicated scouters. Our job is to make this event the best scout activity of the year. We have 3-4 planning meetings prior to the event, and then we arrive at the rendezvous early and stay late. This is where all the fun starts.
Become an Event Manager
This is where you get to work directly with the scouts. We have over ten separate events that need dedicated, patient managers to ensure the events are run correctly and safely. You get to train the unit volunteers who will be helping as well, and teach the scouts how to perform the mountain man skills. We really need help here.
Donate Items
Prizes and awards are what motivates the scouts and their leaders. We make and give out over 65 quality awards each year. (See A Few Examples) We have special awards for those scouts and leaders that dress and camp as mountain men. There is also the raffle. Each scout that makes an attempt to come dressed as a mountain man gets a ticket. Any mountain man foofarraw, possibles or clothing item is greatly appreciated.
